Record Barbarians Attendance

A record number of 14 players turned up for the first meeting of the season at the new venue in Kingsway Church, Dunmurry. Eight of those were from the Morrison contingent and Nicky Moore again travelled up from Republic of Ireland.

The unexpected (but welcome) large turnout caused a minor pitch problem. Seven pitches had been transported from the old venue, but one without goalposts! Not to be deterred, however, the players constructed a makeshift set of goals, comprising jewellers' screwdrivers & wire! See below ...
