3rd Clubnight: Belvoir Parish Church
Mon 27th June 2011
Belfast
Barbarians' debut at the new venue, Belvoir Parish Church, saw the club's best turnout of
the season so far, with 11 players taking part. Kenny
Beggs topped the 4-round Swiss Ladder, just ahead of
Nicky Moore who had travelled from the South. We were
also pleased to welcome 3 newcomers, Peter Darling, Matt
Armstrong & Jacob Hudson. Results

Temporary Venue: Belvoir Parish
Church May 2011 until further notice
Thanks to
Alistair Morrison, we have found another venue while
Kingsway Church undergoes renovations. Belvoir Parish Church, of which Alistair is a member,
has kindly allowed us to store pitches and have
clubnights until Kingsway is available again.

Kingsway Church Renovations May 2011
The Barbarians'
venue at Kingsway Church is due to commence renovations
in May 2011, which could last for about 9 months. During
this time, we will need to find somewhere to store the
pitches and host events. We will also need a method of
transporting pitches. If any club members can help,
please email Barry
or Kenny.
Clubnight Cancelled 28th Mar 2011
There were no
confirmed players for tonight's meeting. It is important
that we know in advance if anyone plans to attend,
otherwise one or two players may travel a long way for no
reason. Please email Barry
for future meetings to confirm attendance.
2nd Clubnight 31st Jan 2011
The 2nd Clubnight
of the season finally took place, having been postponed
in December due to snow. Good to see Solomon Choudry back
after a few years away, along with newcomer James
Fatogun. Final placings on the night were: 1st Beggs, 2nd
Adams, 3rd Spence, 4th Choudry, 5th Fatogun. Results
Barry Spence v Solomon Choudry
Eoin Adams v James Fatogun
Clubnight Postponed 6th Dec 2010
Unfortunately,
the 2nd Clubnight was postponed due to snow. It will be
rearranged in January.
1st Clubnight 11th Oct 2010,
7:30pm
The new season
started with a five-player round robin, which finished as
follows:
1st K.Beggs, 2nd B.Spence, 3rd D.Jones, 4th L.Jones, 5th
S.Rodgers. Most noteable result was young Lewis Jones'
1-0 victory over seasoned veteran, Stephen Rodgers.
Results
The club format will be
similar to last season, with six league meetings at
roughly bi-monthly intervals. Note that we will have to
organise the schedule to suit renovation work which will
be taking place in the Church.
