of Northern Irish Players Eoin Adams topped his group
with a 1-0 victory over Yorkshire's Paul Lawrenson and a 0-0
draw with Belgian, van Hulle but went down 1-7 to
team-mate, Kenny Beggs in the Barrage Round.
In the team event
for IPL, Eoin got a default 3-0
win against EPL who were a player short, beat
Miltiadous of London 3-1 and lost 0-10 to
Murciana's Bob Varney.

Beggs beat Neil Munns of Yorkshire Phoenix 6-1 and lost 1-2 to Miguel
Angel Lopez of Spain, qualifying in 2nd place for
the Barrage Round. He beat Eoin Adams 7-1 before
going down 0-3 to another Spaniard, Juan Carlos
Granados in the Last 16. Playing for IPL in the team event, Kenny
drew 2-2 with Dave Pawsey (EPL), won 8-0 against
London's Richard West and lost 0-2 to Angel
Valverde of Murciana.

Cummings beat Rep of Ireland's John Moore 4-1 and
England's Daniel Tatarsky 7-0 to win his group
but was unlucky to lose 1-2 to a golden goal by
Greek, Adrian Ritoridis in the Barrage Round. Trevor's club, Yorkshire Phoenix, lost 0-4 to Murciana and
1-2 to Cardiff in the team event.

| Irish Premier League beat London 4-0 & lost to EPL,
finishing 2nd in their group, before going out in the
semi-final to tournament winners, Murciana of Spain. The
Irish lads were only 30 seconds away from winning their
group, which would have set up an unexpected semi-final
clash with Cardiff, but Dave Pawsey's last gasp equaliser
against Kenny Beggs gave EPL a narrow 2-1 victory,
ensuring that the English avoided the strong Murciana
team until the final. |
