Irish Premier League Team Reach Quarter-Final

Kenny Beggs & Eoin Adams were part of the Irish Premier League side which reached the Team Quarter-Final, while Trevor Cummings & Stuart Mcilroy, represented their local club, Yorkshire Phoenix.


Templeuve v IPL: Deloose 2 Adams 6
IPL lost 1-3 to Hennuyer of Belgium but beat North West (Wales) 3-0 to get through the group. They then eliminated Belgian club, Templeuve United, 2-1 in the Barrage Round before going out to Murcia of Spain. Hennuyer beat Murcia in the Final. IPL Team Results

It was a good performance from the IPL team and the Northern lads both gained noteable results, with Kenny beating Hennuyer's Delphine Dieudonné 2-1 and Eoin winning 6-2 against his Templeuve opponent.

IPL v Hennuyer: Beggs 2 Dieudonné 1

Trevor Cummings played for Yorkshire 'A', who lost to English Premier League and beat Royal 78 Kaisermuhlen 'B' to finish 2nd in Group 3. Royal 78 'A' Team, however, proved too strong in the Barrage Round.

  • 4-2 v Anthony Collins (Kaisermuhlen 'B')
  • 0-4 v Christian Haas (Kaisermuhlen 'A')

Stuart Mcilroy's Yorkshire 'B' Team also finished 2nd in their Group, behind Atlas of Greece but ahead of Cardiff Bluebirds. They went out to the strong DEVILS Austria in the Barrage.

Individual Open


Beggs 0 Hawkins 0 (shots 2-1)
Only Kenny took part in Sunday's Individual Open. He beat Austria's Sandler 3-1 and drew 0-0 with Steve Hawkins of England. Hawkins also beat Sandler 3-1, which meant there was a tie for first place. Kenny won a shoot-out to top the group and go straight into the Last 32, where he lost 0-1 to England's Kaspar Bennett with the last kick of the ball.

Predictably, Eric Verhagen and Massimo Cremona reached the Final, which Verhagen won 2-0. Full Results (Word)
