IPL players, Eoin
Adams and Kenny Beggs, will transfer to Yorkshire Phoenix for FISTF events next season. The
pair will join fellow countrymen, Trevor Cummings &
Stuart Mcilroy, at the growing Yorkshire club.

Struggle in Belfast 13th/14th May
2006
Only four teams
entered the Belfast Grand Prix. Belgian club, Hennuyer,
beat English Premier League 3-1 in the final. Lega-Liga
Odense of Denmark finished 3rd and Irish Premier League
4th, only being able to field a 3-player team. John Moore
was the only IPL player to progress beyond his group in
the Individual Open. Kenny Beggs beat England's Adrian
Curtis in the Veterans final, while Donal Convery &

IPL Reach Quarter-Finals in
Manchester 28th/29th Jan
2006
The Manchester
Grand Prix was a successful trip for the IPL, who reached
the Quarter-Finals amidst a strong entry of 19 teams,
including some of Europe's finest. Gary, John, Kenny,
Eoin & Nicky all played their part in what was a big
improvement on November's Dumfries performance. Result of
the day was Kenny's 2-1 victory over Female World

IPL lost 1-3 to Hennuyer of Belgium
but beat North West (Wales) 3-0 to get through
the group. They then eliminated Belgian club,
Templeuve United, 2-1 in the Barrage Round before
going out to Murcia of Spain. Hennuyer beat
Murcia in the Final.
IPL Team ResultsIn the Individual Open,
Kenny lost 0-1 to Kasper Bennett in the Last 32,
while John went down to Angel Valverde at the
same stage. Gary didn't qualify from his group
but was runner-up in the Plate. Nicky was
eliminated at the group stage of the Veterans.

Murtagh was 3rd in the Female event and reached the
Junior Semi-Final to pick up her first overseas trophy. Tournament Website
Disappointment in Dumfries 19th/20th Nov
2005
The IPL had a
disappointing return to team action in Dumfries, losing 4
out of 5 matches to finish bottom of the six-team group,
their only win coming against Yorkshire Phoenix. The top
four teams (EPL, Hot Club, Yorkshire & Solway)
qualified for the Semi-Finals. EPL beat Hot Club in the

There was better fortune in the
Individuals, however, with Gary Moore & Kenny
Beggs reaching the Quarter-Finals and John Moore
winning the Plate, beating England's Steve
Hawkins 3-2 on shots after a scoreless final. In the Veterans, Nicky
Moore lost his group matches to Iain Bell &
Richard Pepper.
